Chicken & Poultry Feed

Feeding by Life Stage

Chicks (0–8 weeks)

Starter feed with 18–22% protein is essential for early development. Medicated options help prevent coccidiosis in unvaccinated chicks. Keep feed available free-choice around the clock.

Pullets & Growers (8–18 weeks)

Switch to a grower formula (15–16% protein) to slow growth slightly and support bone development before laying begins. Avoid high-calcium layer feed during this stage.

Layers (18+ weeks)

Laying hens need 16–18% protein and increased calcium (3.5–4.5%) for strong shells. Supplement with oyster shell on the side so hens can self-regulate calcium intake.
